What is the process of receiving dental implants?

The implant procedure involves multiple appointments over a span of several months. Initially, X-rays and molds of your jaw and teeth are taken to assess the bone, gum tissue, and space available for the implant. The implant is then surgically inserted into the bone while the area is numbed, and it is left to heal and integrate for up to six months. Depending on the implant type, a second surgery might be necessary to install the "post" that will support the artificial tooth. However, with some implants, the post and anchor are already connected and are inserted simultaneously.

After a few weeks of healing, the artificial teeth are created and adjusted to fit the post part of the anchor. This step might require several fittings and could take one to two months to finish. Once healed, the artificial teeth are firmly attached to the implant, offering the patient excellent stability and comfort.

Upon completion of your treatment, you will be given care instructions. Maintaining good oral hygiene and eating habits, along with regular dental check-ups.
